Living Earth was the Recipient of the Patagonia Environmental Grant Award for “its innovative and resourceful approach to advancing a healthier and more productive means for growing foods, promoting fair trade and livable wage practices, and fostering solutions for creating a cleaner and more resilient environment.”
Living Earth is the coordinator of a comprehensive research project to use
toxin-consuming microbes for cleaning up contamination buildup at the largest
municipal landfill in California. We’ll also be testing a variety of microbial systems
to neutralize the greenhouse gas emissions of methane and carbon dioxide.
